Black and White Moments of Vladimir Tarasovsky

Vladimir Konstantinovich Tarasovsky is a member of the Union of Photo Artists, a diploma winner of the photo contests “Motherland”, the society of wildlife preservation. He is a past master in large-size black-and-white photography.

His works are an important part of many temporary and permanent exhibitions of the Vologda State Museum-Preserve and the museums of the region. He is a participant of many displays, including his one-main exhibitions in Vologda, Kirillov, Moscow and Hungary.

Vladimir Tarasovsky took part in plenty of expeditions of the Vologda State Museum-Preserve, made current newsreel shooting. His pictures were used for publication of many booklets, catalogues, anthologies, books, posters not only in Russia, but also in Hungary, Finland and Holland.

His black and white moments are like a miracle in the epoch of colour photography. He recorded the time that became the history and preserved it for descendants. And the most important is that the rich spiritual world of the photo master and the breadth of his creative activity are reflected in his works.

All displayed pictures were taken in the 1960s – 1990s.
